Requirements:

• At least a Bachelor’s degree

• Teaching certification

• Teaching experience in areas of English Language Arts and math

• Proficient with technology in the areas of digital resources, Internet use, web conferencing, and email correspondence

• Willingness to work effectively with diverse persons and groups

Responsibilities:

• Instruct students in the areas of GED math or Reasoning through Language Arts 

• Assess students to create an effective learning curriculum based on mandatory GED standards and requirements 

• Utilize effective teaching techniques and a range of different learning resources and equipment 

• Manage student behavior 

• Plan lessons that implement critical thinking/problem solving instruction 

• Prepare GED lessons to a range of classes of different ages and abilities 

• Maintain records of students’ progress to be reported to the Program and Development Directors 

• Confer with Program Director to maintain a successful, efficient program
