United Way provides navigation assistance to connect you directly to resources from their network of over 100 nonprofit partners, across a range of services, including job training, food assistance, counseling, health care, out-of-school programs, and more. A Navigator will work with you to understand your immediate and long-term goals, build your personalized journey, and connect you to the right services at the right time.

Transportation

Fort Bend County currently offers shared ride bus services to the citizens of Fort Bend County. The scheduled ride transportation service provides trips within Fort Bend County.

In order to schedule or cancel a ride you may call 866-751-TRIP between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday and ask for the “Fort Bend County Reservations.” There are no transit services available on county holidays.

Hospital

In addition to the medical services it provides, OakBend is also committed to the community’s overall health and wellness. The hospital conducts and participates regularly in community health fairs to provide blood pressure, glucose, and other tests at no cost. OakBend also collaborates with local organizations such as AccessHealth, Texana Center, EMS operators, Fort Bend County Department of Health and Human Services, Child Advocates of Fort Bend County, Richmond State School, and the Mamie George Community Center, among others.

Domestic Violence / Sexual Abuse

The Fort Bend Women’s Center, they provide programs to help survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault escape abuse and move forward to build independent lives, free of violence and fear. All services are free of charge and open to any survivor of domestic violence and sexual assault.
